In the morning we visit a local market in Moshi where we can look around so you can gauge an idea of some local hand crafted items like baskets, paintings, books ect and have the option to buy grains for anyone wishing to donate food substances to the village we visit (this part it totally optional). Cultural experience at the Masai village around midday with the tribe's people learning about their heritage with a show of their traditional dance before they go out to hunt and a visit to the hotsprings where we can swim and spend the afternoon relaxing.

Drive into the Kilimanjaro mountain regions to visit the Chaga people and learn about their tribes culture and coffee heritage, learn to roast and brew your own coffee and drink it straight from the pot! This will give us a kick to go out on our walk to the nearby waterfall through a lush tropical mountainous jungle following a river and looking out for any butterflies or chameleons we could encounter!

This day we have a long drive of roughly 10 hours with opportunities to stop when needed for toilet breaks, food and drink along the way. Tanzania is a large country with a lot of ground to cover wherever you go or whatever you do. We have comfortable Land Cruisers which are the Tanzania version of a Land Rover however there is an optional add on for an extra £250 for anyone wanting to take a small plane which roughly accommodates up to 7 people. These planes fly from Arusha straight into the Ruaha national park and our lodge the Ruaha Hilltop Lodge will kindly receive anyone wishing to take a plane. We will be received with a very warm welcome from our hosts in Ruaha. The lodge is a very comfortable, beautiful, mid range accommodation made almost completely of local natural resources and boasts stunning views over the national park with unforgettable skies at sunrise and sunset. Not to mention the view of the stars at night! All rooms have ensuite.

We have this day to relax and enjoy the lodge and swimming by the pool.

What we have all been waiting for, our drive out on safari in Ruaha National Park, one of Tanzania's first and largest national parks. This day starts early leaving before the sunrises to get to the gates and begin spotting those animals just as dawn breaks. We have a full day out on the savanna so best to get some rest the day before so we are all well rested and prepared, ready with our eyes peeled to spot all our favourite animals which include Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles, Lions, Wild dogs, Cheetah, Leopards, Zebras and Giraffes to name only a few! There are always chances we won't see everything however I seem to have been lucky each time i've been so there is a lot of hope with fingers crossed and a beady eye on the lookout. Bring your binoculars if you have them!

Early rising to leave for our long drive back to Moshi. Again there is the option to catch a flight in the small national park airplanes for just £250 if you prefer not to take the long journey however you'll be surprised how enjoyable it can be driving through Africa's little towns and villages seeing local life and how people live here, it's quite admirable.

Free day for guests to relax or go out into Moshi town central at free will to do any souvenir and gift shopping. Me, Mosses and Toima are all more than happy to accompany anyone and show you all the best spots for shopping and help you with a little local negotiation skills if you don't feel comfortable haggling by yourself. We will end our night at our favourite garden restaurant again having our own goodbye party the night before we depart.
